Negative thoughts, negative stitching

No, no. I'm not feeling down, not now at least. However, these negative flowers hold a special place in my heart. The only color is around the flower while the flowers themselves are in blackwork only. They all share a common color pattern: the blackwork is not actually black, but in a very dark brown, the green is the same shade of green on every flower and the major color comes in three shades.
I framed them all in 15x15 cm simple wooden frames with passe partout matching the major colors.
The daisy in yellow is the most subtle of them all.
Lily is in energetic orange. Don't you just feel the kick from looking at it?
Calm in blue, the morning glory at its finest.
And last but not least, the rich red rose, because sometimes classic is best. And which is your personal favorite?

For a good start

I'm just starting blogging in English. Please excuse me, as English is not my first language. Partially due to that, I'm going to show more than I'm going to tell. So, for a good start, I'll show you a few of my favorite cross-stitch works.
Wedding anniversary picture and poem for my friend's parents. The picture uses the original art from their wedding invitation, turned into a cross-stitch chart utilizing foils with printed grid.
One of my favorite ponies (the very favorite is waiting to be stitched). Derpy Hooves, a very simple chart with whole stitches only.
Rose bouquet. The roses are made with 3D embroidery and really stand out.
The kitchen gloves with my cross stitch, sewn by my mother. She also does some embroidery, but not cross stitch. I'll show her works soon too.
I rarely use embroidery hoop, but when I do, I usually use it as a round frame.
Finally, an angel. It took only a checked piece of paper and a pen to design it. It's pretty simple with few colors, but it doesn't lack fractional stitches.

I hope you will like my blog, stay tuned for more.
